WALPOLE, MA — Philippe De Champlain, a goaltender for the Express Hockey Club, has committed to Concordia College in Minnesota for the fall of 2024.
An ’03 from Otterburn Park, QC, Canada, DeChamplain had an impressive 2023-24 season, boasting a .937 save percentage in 19 games with Walpole and adding two shutouts to his resume.
“Congratulations to Phil and his family on his commitment!” said Express head coach Nic Cota. “It was an absolute pleasure to watch Phil grow as a player over the past year. He was a tremendous teammate and goalie partner to the other guys that were also playing. His work ethic on ice and love for the game of hockey is exactly why he has found a home at the next level and will continue to have success.”
DeChamplain will be joining Concordia College in Minnesota, an NCAA Division III program in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).

Playing NCAA was for me a dream, that has now become reality,” said De Champlain. “I would like to thank everyone who has helped me along the way. A special thanks to my parents for believing in me since day one and supporting me along the way. I am incredibly grateful for everything they have done. Another special thanks to my teammates and Coaches Cota and Kyle for an amazing season last year in Walpole. The staff and environment in Walpole helped me take a big step on the ice.”
