Walpole, MA – Warren Nguenti-Abessolo, a forward for the Express Hockey Club, has committed to the University of St. Joseph for the 2026-2027 season.
An ‘05 out of Montgomery, MD, Nguenti-Abessolo played three seasons for the Express, beginning with a full season as captain of their EHLP team. He’s played the last two seasons at the EHL level, becoming captain there as well. In total, he played 137 games and recorded 75 points.
“Warren has been with us for three years,” said Express Head Coach Nic Cota. “Coming from Paris, he did a wonderful job in the program year one, captaining our EHLP team. In season two, he played a great role as a 3rd-4th line center and killed penalties for us, which set a EHL record for penalty kill percentage. Final season being this year, Warren wore a “C” on his jersey and led on and off the ice. I’m extremely proud and excited for Warren and his family on his NCAA commitment. We all look forward to watching your continued success.”
Nguenti-Abessolo will join teammates Erik Bjornson and Mark Trischler at St. Joseph. They are part of a double digit class joining Head Coach Adam Houli’s Blue Jays.
