Walpole, MA – Sonny Arsenault, a forward for the Express Hockey Club, has committed to Franklin Pierce University for the 2026-2027 season.
An ‘05 out of Warwick, RI, Arsenault is a product of the league’s ladder of development, climbing from EHLP to EHL and now to NCAA hockey. After a championship season in the EHLP, he joined the Express Hockey Club for his first full EHL season. In his age-out campaign, he is now on their top line, with 35 points in 41 games.
“Sonny has been a two year guy for us at the Express,” said Express Head Coach Nic Cota. “We brought Sonny in with open arms as he has top notch work ethic and character. I’m so proud of the strides he has made at his time with our program. Congratulations to Sonny on his commitment and we look forward to watching that speed make an impact at the next level.”
Arsenault, an all-star, will join current teammate Aydin Fish at FPU next season.
“I’m extremely proud to announce my commitment to Franklin Pierce University,” Arsenault said. “This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my parents and the coaching staff at Express Hockey Club. I was given a chance two years ago by Coach Cota, and I’m incredibly thankful for it. The trust and support I’ve been given have allowed me to become the hockey player and person I am today. I’m very excited to be part of a great program with Coach Foley and to see what this next chapter of my career brings.”
