Walpole, MA – The Walpole Express are proud to announce the commitment of Patrick McDonald to Gustavus Adolphus College. Gustavus is located in St. Peter, MN and compete in the MIAC. McDonald is the 2nd Express player to commit to Gustavus this season.
Speaking as to why he made the decision to commit to Gustavus, McDonald said, “I knew Gustavus was the right fit for me when I stepped on campus. Having a rink on campus is something I’ve always wanted in a program and I’ll be able to get a great education while being part of a great hockey program.“
Coach Cody Campbell said McDonald has proved himself to his teammates this season, ”Pat has been a consistent and reliable part of our group all year. He has been an upbeat and positive teammate all season and we are excited to help Pat make his goal of becoming a college hockey player a reality.”
Pat also spoke about his experience with the Express this season, saying, ”Playing for the Express has been crucial in helping me reach my goal of playing college hockey. Coach Campbell has put in the time to help me reach my goals all year and I can’t thank him enough for that. All the boys on the team also helped out by making Walpole a great environment to play in.”
McDonald continued, “I also wanted to say thanks again to everyone who helped along the way and especially my parents for making this year possible.”
