Walpole, MA — The Walpole Express are proud to announce the commitment of Alex Raketich to Western New England University for the fall of 2022. WNE is located in Springfield, MA and the Golden Bears compete in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
This is the ’01 defenseman’s second season in the EHL and first with the Express.
Alex had the following to say about his commitment to WNE, “First, I really liked the campus and finding a school that offered a computer science program was a huge plus. Second, I really like the athletic facilities and I am excited to play for Coach Young.”
“Alex is a very well-rounded defenseman,” said Express Coach Josh Holmstrom. “He defends hard at one end and has the skills to create plays offensively. He asks questions and wants to continue to get better. I have enjoyed working with Alex this year and I am excited for him to take this next step in his hockey career.”
On his experience playing for the Express, “We have a really close group here and spend a lot of time together. The coaching staff really care about the players and work every day to get us to where we want to be.”
The organization would like to congratulate Alex Raketich on his NCAA college commitment.
