Walpole, MA – The Walpole Express are proud to announce the commitment of Hannah Cunha to Marian University. The Marian University Sabres compete in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
Hannah Cunha, a Haverhill, MA native, is currently an assistant captain and forward on this year’s Express roster, and in her second year with the program. “Hannah is a hardworking, skilled forward and has been a great leader for our team this year,” said Express Head Coach Kate Leary.
Hannah is looking forward to her future as a member of the Marian Women’s hockey program, “Marian plays in a very tough conference, so the high level of play along with the great coaching staff and fantastic athletic facilities makes it a great fit athletically for me.”
She is excited to begin her off-ice college career as well.
“I plan to study exercise science and they have a great program along with a brand new science facility setting me up to get a great education,” said Hannah.
Hannah believes her two years with the Express have played a role in her development.
“Playing for the Walpole Express has done so much for me as a player and person. The constant support and guidance from Coach Kate has really prepared me to make the jump to play college hockey.”
“The Sabres are getting a strong player with a great shot who can find the net. We are proud to be a part of Hannah accomplishing her goal of playing college hockey,” added Leary.
The Express organization congratulate Hannah on her college commitment.
