Walpole, MA – The Express are pleased to announce the commitment of James Belleavoine to Western New England University. The Smithfield, Rhode Island native will arrive on campus for the 2020-2021 season.
Express Head Coach Cody Campbell spoke about James saying, “Our entire organization is very proud and happy for James and his family. James is a phenomenal kid and has been a consistent contributor in all phases of the game for us thus far this season. Reaching his goal of playing NCAA college hockey is a great accomplishment and we couldn’t be more excited to continue to help prepare him to have a positive impact as a student-athlete for the Golden Bears from day number one.”
“WNE is a great fit for me as a student. I felt welcomed as soon as I stepped on campus and the school also offers a great criminal justice program which is what I intend to study,” said Belleavoine. “That coupled with the fact that the team plays in such a good conference and is a program on the rise made choosing Western New England a very easy decision for me.”
Asked how playing for the Express has help him reach his goal of playing college hockey, he said, “Playing for the Express has helped develop me more and more as a player. High intensity practices everyday along with playing in such a great league has helped prepare me to play at the college level.”
The entire Express organization would like to congratulate James on his commitment.
